國(guó)際會(huì)議口譯員協(xié)會(huì)（AIIC）是專業(yè)會(huì)議口譯人員的國(guó)際組織，以其入會(huì)資格之嚴(yán)苛著名，其會(huì)員身份是國(guó)際公認(rèn)的合格會(huì)議口譯人員的標(biāo)志。因此，該協(xié)會(huì)制定的《職業(yè)道德守則》對(duì)于我國(guó)的口譯人員有較高的參考價(jià)值。以下為會(huì)議口譯員《職業(yè)道德守則》英漢對(duì)照全文，英文原文見(jiàn)國(guó)際會(huì)議口譯員協(xié)會(huì)網(wǎng)站，中文譯文由付蕾翻譯，黃長(zhǎng)奇審定。

會(huì)議口譯員職業(yè)道德守則 

I. Purpose and Scope 
一、 目的和范圍 

Article 1 
第1條 

1. This Code of Professional Ethics (hereinafter called the "Code") lays down the standards of integrity， professionalism and confidentiality which all members of the Association shall be bound to respect in their work as conference interpreters. 

1. 本《職業(yè)道德守則》（以下簡(jiǎn)稱《守則》）規(guī)定了誠(chéng)信、專業(yè)和保密的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，所有會(huì)員均有義務(wù)在其作為會(huì)議口譯員的工作中遵循這些標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。 

2. Candidates shall also undertake to adhere to the provisions of this Code. 

2. 候選會(huì)員（candidates）也應(yīng)承諾遵守本守則的規(guī)定。 

3. The Council， acting in accordance with the Regulation on Disciplinary Procedure， shall impose penalties for any breach of the rules of the profession as defined in this Code. 

3. 按照《紀(jì)律程序條例》，理事會(huì)將對(duì)任何違反本守則所界定的職業(yè)規(guī)則的行為予以懲罰。 

II. Code of Honour 

二、榮譽(yù)準(zhǔn)則 
Article 2 
第2條 

1. Members of the Association shall be bound by the strictest secrecy， which must be observed towards all persons and with regard to all information disclosed in the course of the practice of the profession at any gathering not open to the public. 

1. 會(huì)員應(yīng)受?chē)?yán)格的保密準(zhǔn)則約束。在任何不向公眾開(kāi)放的會(huì)議中，所有人員均需對(duì)口譯過(guò)程中披露的所有信息嚴(yán)格保密。 

2. Members shall refrain from deriving any personal gain whatsoever from confidential information they may have acquired in the exercise of their duties as conference interpreters. 

2. 嚴(yán)禁會(huì)員利用會(huì)議口譯員的職務(wù)之便，用可能獲取的機(jī)密信息謀取任何私利。 

Article 3 

第3條 

1. Members of the Association shall not accept any assignment for which they are not qualified. Acceptance of an assignment shall imply a moral undertaking on the member's part to work with all due professionalism. 

1. 會(huì)員不得接受任何本人難以勝任的任務(wù)。接受任務(wù)則意味著會(huì)員在道義上承諾將以應(yīng)有的專業(yè)水準(zhǔn)工作。 

2. Any member of the Association recruiting other conference interpreters， be they members of the Association or not， shall give the same undertaking. 

2. 任何會(huì)員在招募其他會(huì)議口譯員時(shí)，無(wú)論后者是否為本協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員，都應(yīng)給予客戶同樣的保證。 

3. Members of the Association shall not accept more than one assignment for the same period of time. 

3. 會(huì)員不得在同一時(shí)間里接受多項(xiàng)任務(wù)。 

Article 4 

第4條 

1. Members of the Association shall not accept any job or situation which might detract from the dignity of the profession. 

1. 會(huì)員不得接受任何可能有損本職業(yè)尊嚴(yán)的工作或職務(wù)。 

2. They shall refrain from any act which might bring the profession into disrepute. 

2. 會(huì)員應(yīng)避免做出任何可能有損本職業(yè)聲譽(yù)的行為。 

Article 5 
第5條 
For any professional purpose， members may publicise the fact that they are conference interpreters and members of the Association， either as individuals or as part of any grouping or region to which they belong. 

會(huì)員可以出于任何職業(yè)目的，宣傳其為會(huì)議口譯員和本協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員這一事實(shí)，包括本協(xié)會(huì)個(gè)人會(huì)員身份和本協(xié)會(huì)任何下屬機(jī)構(gòu)或區(qū)域組織成員身份。 

Article 6 
第6條 

1. It shall be the duty of members of the Association to afford their colleagues moral assistance and collegiality. 
1. 會(huì)員有義務(wù)向同事提供道義援助和協(xié)作。 

2. Members shall refrain from any utterance or action prejudicial to the interests of the Association or its members. Any complaint arising out of the conduct of any other member or any disagreement regarding any decision taken by the Association shall be pursued and settled within the Association itself. 
2. 會(huì)員應(yīng)避免任何有損本協(xié)會(huì)或其會(huì)員利益的言語(yǔ)或行為。任何針對(duì)其他會(huì)員行為的申訴，或是對(duì)本協(xié)會(huì)所做出的任何決定有任何異議，應(yīng)尋求在協(xié)會(huì)內(nèi)部解決。 

3. Any problem pertaining to the profession which arises between two or more members of the Association， including candidates， may be referred to the Council for arbitration， except for disputes of a commercial nature. 
3. 任何兩名或兩名以上會(huì)員（包括候選會(huì)員），如產(chǎn)生任何與職業(yè)相關(guān)的爭(zhēng)端，均可提交理事會(huì)仲裁，商業(yè)性質(zhì)的爭(zhēng)端除外。 

III. Working Conditions

Article 7 

第7條 

With a view to ensuring the best quality interpretation， members of the Association： 

為確保口譯的最佳質(zhì)量，協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員： 

1. shall endeavour always to secure satisfactory conditions of sound， visibility and comfort， having particular regard to the Professional Standards as adopted by the Association as well as any technical standards drawn up or approved by it； 

1. 應(yīng)根據(jù)本協(xié)會(huì)通過(guò)的《職業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》以及由本協(xié)會(huì)制定或批準(zhǔn)的任何技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，始終努力爭(zhēng)取滿意的聲效、能見(jiàn)度和舒適度； 

2. shall not， as a general rule， when interpreting simultaneously in a booth， work either alone or without the availability of a colleague to relieve them should the need arise； 

2. 通常說(shuō)來(lái)，在單獨(dú)一人或在需要時(shí)沒(méi)有同事可替換的情況下，不得在同傳廂從事同傳工作； 

3. shall try to ensure that teams of conference interpreters are formed in such a way as to avoid the systematic use of relay； 

3. 在組建會(huì)議口譯團(tuán)隊(duì)時(shí)，應(yīng)盡力避免經(jīng)常使用接力； 

4. shall not agree to undertake either simultaneous interpretation without a booth or whispered interpretation unless the circumstances are exceptional and the quality of interpretation work is not thereby impaired； 

4. 不應(yīng)同意從事耳語(yǔ)傳譯或在沒(méi)有同傳廂的條件下進(jìn)行同聲傳譯，除非情況特殊且口譯工作的質(zhì)量不會(huì)因此受到影響； 

5. shall require a direct view of the speaker and the conference room. They will thus refuse to accept the use of television monitors instead of this direct view， except in the case of videoconferences； 

5. 應(yīng)要求可直接觀察到發(fā)言者和會(huì)議室。因此，除非是視頻會(huì)議，否則應(yīng)拒絕接受使用電視屏幕代替直接觀察的方式； 

6. shall require that working documents and texts to be read out at the conference be sent to them in advance； 

6. 應(yīng)要求提前拿到將在會(huì)議上宣讀的工作文件和演講稿； 

7. shall request a briefing session whenever appropriate； 

7. 如果條件許可，應(yīng)要求舉辦情況通報(bào)會(huì)； 

8. shall not perform any other duties except that of conference interpreter at conferences for which they have been taken on as interpreters. 

8. 在自己已被聘為會(huì)議口譯員的會(huì)議上，不得從事會(huì)議口譯之外的任何其他工作。 

Article 8 

第8條 

Members of the Association shall neither accept nor， a fortiori， offer for themselves or for other conference interpreters recruited through them， be they members of the Association or not， any working conditions contrary to those laid down in this Code or in the Professional Standards. 

對(duì)于任何違反本《守則》或《職業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》規(guī)定的工作條件，協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員均不得接受，更不得代表本人或本人招募的其他會(huì)議口譯員（無(wú)論是否為協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員）主動(dòng)提出。 

IV. Amendment Procedure 

四、修訂程序 

Article 9 

第9條 

This Code may be modified by a decision of the Assembly taken with a two-thirds majority of votes cast， provided a legal opinion has been sought on the proposals. 

相關(guān)提議在征求法律意見(jiàn)后，大會(huì)可在獲得三分之二多數(shù)的投票后作出決定，對(duì)本《守則》予以修改。
